First visit to the Tidal Basin since the Blizzard. They say full bloom tomorrow/Thursday so either I'm crazy or they are. This view looks pretty pink but it's just really a lot of buds not petals. I go back tomorrow with friends but decided to scout it out alone today. One of the trees has a hole in the trunk, not big enough for my camera but my phone fit. Use whatever you can I say........

Great idea to use the branches to frame the view! It's remarkable to me that just five days ago, the trees were mostly bare with a few buds. Now it's a sea of pink and white. I spent a week there and missed the peak bloom by a few days. So glad you're sharing it with all,of us!
@redy4et this is actually the tree truck which has a cavity that my camera is sitting in. The change in the blossoms from Tuesday to Wednesday was unbelievable and with todays warmth tomorrow should be amazing if the wind and rain hold off.....
