Your Table Is Ready

My main job was to capture the details. When a guest asked me if I knew where his seat was I told him I believed he could pick any table because there were no place cards.

Having the tables numbers was a little puzzling. Still haven't figured it out. Place cards forgotten, budget cuts ? Anyone have an ideas? The glasses with Dove chocolates in little red bags were the guest favors.
Another nice one... I like your focus on the #9 and the centerpiece, with most of the room in blur.

I would say on their entry to the room they would be given a number or else it was on their invitation!

How beautiful a table. I don't like assigned seats personally and we didn't do them. But weird to have numbers. Maybe an oversight.

Lovely focus and colours. It looks like a lot of effort has gone into the set up. Sometimes there is a seating chart at the entrance listing which guests go to which table, but I'm sure you would have seen that if there was one. The table numbers could have been to help with calling up the tables if it was buffet style so not everyone went at once?

All great ideas above for the numbers. Even greater photo of the set up. Nice POV and composition.

I think you nailed the mystery... @kiwichick We've been to events where that's the case.
Great table shot... Nicely done.

very nice shot, les. been to a wedding with table set up this way. i think the idea was to sit anywhere you like as long as you're invited and you've rsvp'd. there are cultures though where one is invited but 10 would show up. :-)

@kiwichick oh, you are probably right. I think they were calling tables numbers up. It was a buffet ..... mystery solved....
