Arrived back at Assatauge State Park at 5:30. Absolutely no sunrise color but it wasn't raining. We went in search of wild ponies and found our first ones at 6:40 am. We had to hike through the bush and marsh to get to them. This is as far as I decided I wanted to go. Xavier had rubber boots on and Jenny and I had hiking boots. Jenny had never seen the ponies and ended up soaking her boots and feet to get decent pictures of the ponies. I visit here a lot having a yearly pass and with the morning light bad and no sky color plus a couple more hours of hiking to go I told them to go for it and take their time while I watched them. We did find some different ponies later and I got some nice shots ending up with fairly dry boots. Although we didn't get the sunset/sunrise shots we went for you shoot what mother nature gives you.
Bob finished painting the hallway today and it looks great. I will rehang all the pictures on my next visit. Hard to believe tomorrow is May !
