The Sky Is Falling

No Chicken Little it just looks like a bumper crop of acorns this year. So many are falling you need a helmet walking in the backyard. Squirrels definitely will not go hungry this winter but I'm sure they prefer raiding Bob's bird feeders.

I just read something the other day about sprinkling Cayenne pepper on your birdseed to keep the squirrels away. The birds can't taste it but the squirrels can. Something to consider for this fall.

Lovely capture and story. I too remember that book. Chicken Little and Hen Len! However, I'm confused about the leaves. They are not the same as the European variety of oak tree. They almost look like chestnut, but with acorns!
