The Rosslyn Metro station is 5 stories (156 feet) underground. It takes awhile to go up or down. I should have timed it. You would get a very good workout walking up. We were told it wasn't even the longest one. The Wheaton station contains 230-foot-long (70 m) escalators, which are the longest set of single-span escalators in the Western Hemisphere. My girlfriend said no thanks but I thought see you soon Wheaton ....
