Okay this is probably gonna be the last of these fairy-in-the-woods shots for now, but I wanted to be in on the rail track theme that Slava and TJ has going on :)
Do you think this shot would be better if I cropped the top off? Thanks in advance for any inputs!
I'l let someone better-qualified give you advice on cropping. Personally, I love this theme you've been running; it's been enchanting...really! You are your own best model! I'm enjoying, too, that I've already seen TJ & Slava's photos, and I like the comraderie and unity of sharing in this 365 project. Beautifully done, Laerke!
@louise, there is not qualifications for what you like to see, all CC are in the opinion of the person giving it. Some might agree, some might not.
@Laerke, if you don't mind, how so you say your name, it is so different for me is it "lare - key"? To you photo. You are such a pretty womanand I really like the perspective of this shot. Howerver, yes cropping the top or repositioning the camera so you don't see so much of the grey skies would work so much better. The skies brightness is competing with your dress. I also would like to see a glimpse of your right hand as well. When doing portraits it is "preferred" not to cut off hands and feet or having things appear to be coming out of your head. So, if you can do the shot over. I would position the camera more to the camera right, keeping the leading lines of the tracks and getting your body positioned between the two larger trunks you see on camera left. and then keep the sky to a limit. Just my opinion, I hope you understand what I am trying to convey.
i knew from the thumbnail this dreamy photo is yours. i can't dish out any advice - i'm not qualified =) plus, i do love this photo and i'm unable to find anything wrong with it.
Love the railroad theme...awesome. As for the cropping? That's all up to the photographer.......I like to see any story a photo may tell....To me, the white of your dress seems to have appeared from the white of the clouds....kind of heaven sent in a way...that's what I see in the photo. So I don't think cropping, from my point of view, was really needed here. I think the whole scene works...but that's just my point of view. :-)
Laekrke, how cool you jumped on the 'trainwagon' with us! ;-) I love your forest fairy/heavenly angel series!! About the crop - it's up to you!!! As long as you are in the photo, it will be beautiful! ;-)

@Jeff O, great advice, I will keep those tips in mind as well.
