The whole city has been more or less grid locked today as there were demonstrations at all major intersections. We could hear them all day from our apartment, and at dusk we went out to get something from the mall - and we couldn't resist taking a peek at the demonstration going on at Victory Monument. It was party atmosphere! It felt like a street party meets a football game :) Old timers and little kids and everyone in between were out. Thai paraphernalia were for sale everywhere. We bought a flag and a ribbon and quickly stuffed it in my bag - I've heard that the police have issued a warning that foreigners caught participating in the demonstrations will be kicked out of the country. And we don't want that! So we were just a couple of lost tourists wandering around... :)
