Love of the Forgotten - A Series

Not a great capture, but the only one I could get of the house that will be highlighted for the next week or so. I attended an auction today of this hometown 185 year old treasure. Sadly, I learned that it is zoned for commercial and will most likely be torn down instead of restored. On a positive note, I have captured some of its fading beauty. Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I did.
Sorry to hear this. Nice capture and memory.

Always sad. I took pictures of a farm near my house that will also be torn down.

Such a beautiful building - love the style but what a terrible shame if it goes commercial.

It looks like a lovely house. Too bad it'll be torn down...

There's something so sad about seeing someone's precious possessions out on the lawn to be sold and taken away to someone else's house. I must confess to seeing a couple of things I'd like to bring to mine!

Nice shot and I agree it is sad when they tear down the old instead of restoring it.

What a great shame. Glad it will at least survive in your photographs.

I look forward to the series. It looks like it's in good shape, but I'm glad people are able to salvage the doors and other details for re-use.

I just started with your most recent picture and moved back through to here. I loved it, in many ways it reminds me of my home. Looking up at my bedroom ceiling I see a light fixture much like the one you have.
