Day 1 of Flash of Red 2016 and I'm already posting a shot taken a few days ago! (busy weekend!) This week, I'll be working on Rule of Thirds, textures, contrast and patterns in black and white.
Beautiful, Lin! I love so much about this image...the contrast of straight pole and curved branches, light and dark, composition...the list could go on and on.
Love your title. ☺ And I like the way you use your project to actually work on photography concepts. I need to get back to focusing on specific aspects of photography. More and more I'm just snapping a quick pic to post rather than making an attempt to improve my technique or learn something new. Thanks for the unintentional reminder, Lin.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that! I do it all the time, but at least am shooting on a consistent basis. :). I think this is a great shot for the theme. I like how he's chosen to sit on the light rather than the tree like birds seem to do.
@peggysirk Thanks, Peggy. I fluctuate between giving thought to my captures or just photographing willy-nilly! Part of the fun for me! I can tell I'm going to have to pay attention on this challenge!
