I shoot probably 96% of my images in b/w. Lightroom brings in the raw image with color, then I must go and convert it back. I use Silver EFX Pro for my b/w edits, and there are multiple choices for preset options, but you get a preview, which helps immensely.
A beautiful subject choice for black-and-white! I almost shot some the other day and they are on my back up list! You can expect to see some sometime this month for me as well! Oh, and what @bill_fe said is way over my head! I have no idea what he's talking about!

@cejaanderson The flash of red is for Valentine's Day only. I think last year some did it throughout the month, which is OK, too! I hope I can remember to add mine on the 14th!
I like the composition, and may have made the white background a little more stark. I know the flash of red challenge has been one of the best to help me with processing and composition. I hope you continue to enjoy it!
Right decisions made here, though. Love the comp and the processing. I agree though - everything's a little (and often a lot) different shooting b&w. We'll be experts come March :)
