I think I can say with 100% certainty that I will not be riding this carnival circle of terror and possible death thingy (OK, that's not the official name of the ride, but I think it fits it well)

I totally agree. I love roller coasters but only when they go up and down hills and not every which way and especially being suspended upside down. My grandkids love all these scary rides.....I don't see how. I feel trapped! Anyway you caught a great shot from below :-)
