I discovered yesterday while in my hometown that another business has closed forever - always sad to see this. Hopefully someone will buy the building and make a new start.

My husband's hometown is the same way. Downtown is a ghost town. The little town we currently live in has a thriving downtown, but they have put a lot into it to revitalize it.

It's sad to see businesses that were mainstays close their doors. But, as you said, maybe a new energetic business will take it's place.
