Today I sent my first five postcards for the postcrossing.com project. They’re headed to FInland, Russia, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. I can’t wait until I get some back! Mrs. Smith, another 365 Project member, mentioned this and said she had gotten the information from yet another member. Thank you Mrs. Smith!
Yay! It will be exciting to see you get your first one. Today I received one in the mail from Finland! :) Oh, and I see you are sending a card from Conner Prairie. That's a fun place to visit. I think I need to go back there.
@mrssmith Yes, Conner Prairie is just a few miles from my house. They’re opening up a new area revolving around the Civil War in early summer. I’m looking forward to it. ( You don’t know how excited I got over the postcard exchange. I’m goofy that way!)
I just started this too, thanks to Carla (Mrs Smith). I was happy to find out today when I mailed my first 5 that the flat rate stamp is 98 cents. I was sweating over what this would cost in postage to all these places.
I am looking forward to collecting these, then collaging them in large frames for the walls, as I have done with my numerous Indy 500 tickets from over the years. If it is Art, show it off!
Love your letterbox and the fact that you can send mail in it as well as receive it - in Australia to post a letter we have to find a red post box that are located every few blocks! Great shot!
@girlneedsahobby Thanks! We're lucky to find a public mailbox where I Iive in th US. Ours are usually blue and there is no rhyme or reason as to where they are placed. It's funny and interesting how the ways of doing simple things is different from country to country.

@moncooga Cool idea! I have been wondering what to do with mine. Let me know when you get your first card in the mail!
