I’ve been wishy washy about whether I want to walk in the upcoming Indy Mini Marathon. I haven’t been training as much as I should. Last week I decided to drop out, but with some coaxing from my brother-in-law and sister-in-law I have decided I’ll go ahead and do it. That means I must continue to train - rain or shine. So tonight I walked four miles in the rain. All I can say is thank God for audiobooks.
I hope you do it all! I walked it. If I can, anyone can! C'mon. I am gonna keep you pumped up, whether you like it or not, so I want to hear your progress!
@lisjam1 Not an idiot. A passionate person for this. I worked the finish line for years. Saw too many people keel over bleeding from many areas. Keep walking. I never run, but will walk 5 miles a day. I don't bleed, don't need 3 days to recover, don't have bad knees, blah blah blah. I like walking. It rocks. Do it, will ya!
Lisa, you shouldn't feel bad about what you aren't doing, you should feel great about what you ARE doing! I think it's wonderful that you take part in this, and like Chris says, it's probably all for the better that you not over do it and kill yourself just for the sake of running. Because, let me tell you, walking 4 miles in the rain is a big deal! GO YOU!
