I spent the evening tearing out more shrubs that need replacing. While in the process of cutting off limbs, I ran across this cocoon. Actually, I found two. My son and I guessed they might be praying mantis cocoons, and a quick search on the internet confirmed it. We’re going to keep them in a safe place in hopes of seeing the babies emerge. And if I’m lucky, I will get a daily photo out of it!
