I spent the day running around buying plants, grass seed, shrubs and other exciting yard stuff. I came home and spent the rest of the afternoon working in the yard and filling my flower pots. I just didn’t want to take another picture of flowers so I sat very still in my yard for about a half hour trying to take pictures of birds. They were all uncooperative. I went inside and put my camera away. Just as soon as I did that, wouldn’t you know a hummingbird came right up to the window. Oh well. I have all summer.
Nice silhouette! I found out that hummingbirds are not timid at all. If you sit near where they feed, they will fly right up to your face and hover! They are amazing creatures!
hahaha I have been running around after a humminbird myself. the only one I was able to get that wasn't a complete blurr wasn't fast enough to freeze the wings so it looks like a weird wingless blob in the tree. . .. . this is a great shot of the bird in flight
