This green and yellow tractor has been sitting in the field waiting for the rain to stop for so long that it is now almost camouflaged by green and yellow plants that are growing up around it. Although I live in the fastest growing area in our state, there are still reminders of the farming community it once was. You’ll find fields like this interspersed among the new neighborhoods and shopping centers, but probably not for long.
@monicar@mrssmith Sadly, to the left of this picture is a neighborhood and to the right across another field is a new mall. It’s only a matter of time. Darned urban sprawl.
Farmers are hard hit everywhere. The rains have slowed a lot of them down- and then there's the financial ups and downs of running a farm and a country that has no concept on how much we need them. Great picture!
