Today was Katy’s high school graduation. She’s my oldest so this was a new experience for all of us. I’m feeling so many different things right now. I’m proud, I’m happy, I’m sad . . . The ceremony went well, and we enjoyed a nice lunch out afterward. I know these times of four of us together at once will become few and far between next year so I enjoyed every second of it.
We took the picture prior to leaving the house, and it was pretty early. Andrew was less than cooperative as he was not quite awake. I don’t know how to photoshop a smile on his face.
I don't think you should photoshop a smile on his face (not that you would, anyhow)... I think it's a great "snap" of you as a family, where you are all now. He's a sleepy teen.... That's how they look. ;) You have a lovely family, Lisabell. I'm glad you enjoyed every second of it today...
Congratulations to your daughter. It is a very bittersweet time. I did it for the first time 2 years ago. I look forward to my son coming home from college now and then. I get to do it again next year with my second son. Enjoy and treasure every second. Beautiful family! :D
wonderful shot and agree with @erikadee about the smile and I just love his hair!
Congrats to your beautiful daughter. Just remember even if she is not there with you you know her heart always will be.
Congratulations to the graduate. Looks like she garnered a few awards for all her hard work as well. You have a great looking family! And I wouldn't put a smile on your son's face either. This looks very natural for a teenager who just woke up- plus it will be a fun story to tell in the years to come when you look at the picture again.
Congratulations to your beautiful Katy! An honors graduate no less ~ I know you must be so proud! Such an exciting, and bittersweet, time for all. Wishing Katy much success in all she undertakes.
Wonderful family portrait! And Andrew looks perfect in his role as the younger brother. :)
