I know there will be several tributes to 9/11 today, but I felt the need to document my own project that ten years have passed since the horrific terrorist attacks on our country. Like every American who was old enough to understand at the time, I remember exactly what I was doing when the attacks happened on what started out to be a perfect sunny day with a brilliant blue sky. It’s strange that I understand that my world changed forever that day, but in my children’s minds they have always lived under the threat of terrorism. I will never give up hope that some day it might be different.
Lovely, Lisa!! What a beautiful tribute you made. I was at the service at the Palladium this morning and thought of you, because I got to see that fantastic building and bathroom for the first time. (And yes, I took photos in the bathroom too. Ha ha.)
@roth Thank you. I think you’re right. I hate to say this, but I think we Americans thought we were somehow immune to terrorism until it happened on our soil.
