Our ash tree turned a bright yellow, and I swear the leaves just suddenly all fell off at precisely the same time. Our maple trees are still as green as summer, but I noticed a hint of change on the tips of a few branches. I thought the seeds looked pretty against the changing leaves. I cannot believe how many leaves a single tree can produce. We built this house twelve years ago and joked about picking up our leaf in the fall because our trees were so pathetically small. Now we’ve got bushels of them.
First of all, Great colors! Secondly, you give me hope! We built our home 7 years ago, and just barely have enough leaves at this point to make one nice, tidy pile. We've planted 11 trees on our lot, and one of these summers, I hope to have some shade to show for it, and leaves to rake in the fall (I'll probably regret it when I'm doing all that raking, LOL).
