The hydrangea leaves that were featured in my project last week have almost all changed to a brilliant red. The robust white blossoms gradually turned pink and faded into papery brown. I think they’re pretty in all stages, and throughout the short, cold days of winter they will be a pleasant reminder that eventually spring will arrive as it always does and the cycle will start all over again.
@mrssmith Last winter I got really tired of the short days and the grayness. I don’t think it every bothered me that much before until I started to taking photos. I’m already feeling claustrophobic.
I haven't seen them turn brown before. Nice shot! I know how you feel- I hate to see the colors of spring, summer or fall go. Worse yet, I hate turning the clocks back. It's so depressing when it gets dark early!
@sassyinthecity They do, don’t they? Hmm, now I’m having a craving so I must go loot my son’s Halloween bag although I’m betting only the junk stuff is left.
