As a mother one of the best things about getting out the Christmas decorations is finding the little works of art my children have created over the years. I can’t remember exactly how old Katy was when she brought this little art project home from school, but I loved that she chose to make her snowman out of stacked cubes instead of balls. She was so excited about being able to make the little hat and scarf that she came home with and made several more in different colors. That was one of the first signs of her budding flair for fashion that she still has today.
I love stuff like this. I especially love that, looking back on it now that she's older, you can see signs of the Katy that is today back in the Katy that was at that time. THAT's the part I love about these little treasures... it's how much they drive home that my children are turning out just the way they've always been, that as much as they grow and change, they are still so very much the same.
Sooo Lovely......It is so nice to have a memory for each decoration....
As a primary school teacher there is never a days goes by when I am not left marvelling at the choices children make when left to their own devices....I love this cube snowman.....
