Back in Sandakan for the last day of our trip, we decided to book ourselves into a fancy hotel for a bit of luxury before the long journey back. This banana tree was right outside our window. And it was the first time I’d ever seen a banana menu - the hotel served up a choice of at least 5 different varieties at breakfast!
