I treated myself to a photo day out today, visiting a conservation area that also has a bird of prey centre. This is Ayasha, the Golden Eagle. All of the birds in the centre are unreleasable, mostly due to injuries. They are cared for and used in educational demonstrations. Ayasha was as regal and poised as her species would suggest. I was shooting through the fence of her enclosure which is why you see the vague hazing.
It was an awesome day and you’ll be seeing more of these beauties!
Absolutely stunning- they do live up to their name. I really admire these places and am thankful they've given life back to birds that would otherwise perish in the wild.
