The library branch in my part of town is quite unusual. The original red-brick Carnegie building is 100 years old. In 2007, when there was a need to expand, the entire structure was encased in a glass box like a ship in a bottle. This expanded the footprint without harming the heritage building.
Such a hard building to photograph well. Good job! I have some shots of it on my phone still waiting to be uploaded from way too long ago 😅 (thanks for the reminder!)
I'm really glad they didn't just tear it down, and I wish the other two Carnegies in town were still something publicly accessible.
What an interesting solution to the problem. Thinking outside the box, so to speak. I appreciate the difficulty you would have had shooting that. Did you try a polarizing filter?
