Bought this musical instrument a couple of years ago in China for my son. It has finger holes in the front and back, and a blowing hole on top. It is 9cm high. According to Wikipedia, it is one of the oldest musical instruments in China and has been in use for approximately seven thousand years. It was initially made of baked clay or bone, and later of clay or ceramic. Seems it was mainly used in the performance of palace music.
Wonderful captured!!

Interesting instrument, first time I hear about it. You have found or/and shaped exactly the right background for this shot.

Oh, fascinating! It must be similar to the ocarina - certainly the construction material and the way it's played are quite alike.

Makes a good b&w shot and the light brings out its form well.
