Emmett Kelly’s “Weary Willie” by louannwarren

Emmett Kelly’s “Weary Willie”

Emmett Kelly was the featured clown for Ringling Bros. circus for many years. His forlorn Weary Willie face and big red nose were his trademarks. Even though the Color Palooza artist who painted him out of chalk did not sign his work, I thought it was one of the better paintings that day. This for the word “arm” today.
Gracious! It has been years since I thought of Emmett Kelly. I’m surprised to know there are still people who know about him. What a remarkable chalk painting

So glad you brought back the memory of the Ringling Brothers Circus and Emmett Kelly - was so lucky to have seen them several times when I was little. This is an amazing piece of art.
