"I came all the way from Peru, and she put me on the back porch?"
This Peruvian craft rooster was given to my brother in law 25 years ago, I kept my eye on him and when I saw that he had been relegated to a closet a few years ago, I convinced everyone he needed to come to my house, I am "the chicken lady" after all. He's been on display in my kitchen for a long time and I just moved him to the protected back porch, he's not in harm's way!
Not just any rooster, but the marvelously crafted ones scooped up on your travels (or visits to your brother-in-law!) Both of those are just fabulous! I'll watch for mere this summer, though folk art up there commands an exceedingly high price. I'm not about taking the photos, however!
@louannwarren I DID love to read that! I enjoyed Sausalito even more than SF, and if we were to go up there, that's where I'd want to stay! I like their "roosters", too!
