Wait, we are Pelicans? Who knew?!

The art on display at the Arboretum last week was hand-carved Zimbabwean stone sculptures. I did a double take when the placard next to this Springstone piece stated it was called "A Squadron of Pelicans"! I just don't think they are Pelicans. Maybe Toucans, but not really. Their beaks are different.

I have to agree with you too- they do not look like Pelicans- they look like Toucans! I wonder if there's a sculpture somewhere on the grounds with some Pelicans that reads "Toucans" and the placards got mixed up. LOL

@gigiflower I looked for a pelican sculpture because this was sure not Pelicans. I thought it was mis-marked.
