We arrived at our local movie theater early the other day and this young lady was putting the ticket window line stanchions in place for the day. I could tell they were quite heavy but she put them in place as quickly as she could. There were young men who were working inside, it just seemed to me that one of them could have helped her.

I wondered if the manager put her on that task to teach her a lesson about being prompt and cheery. Ha!
Chivalry is often a thing of the past now, & many women don't want to be treated differently- me, I still like a door to be held for me, heavy things to be carried for me etc
