This photo was taken at a Kentucky Derby party in May, that’s me in the hat kissing my beautiful, beloved friend Diane. We buried Diane today, she fought cancer for 5 years and just could not win that fight. I wish you all could have known her, she was a beautiful person and I will miss her everyday.
Oh, Lou Ann. I'm so sorry for your loss. Such a beautiful smile and she was definitely a brave soul, battling cancer for that long. I'm sure you'll cherish this special photo forever.
Lou Ann, I feel for you, to lose a special friend is so sad..what a gorgeous photo, every time you look at this beaming face you will feel so blessed to have had Diane in your life.
Lovely photo. Your affection for each other just shines right through it. Truly sorry for your loss. One of my best friends is going through the same fight right now. I have a keen sense of what you are going through. Thanks for sharing with us all.
Its awfully sad to loose someone so special Lou Ann, just remember the wonderful times you both had will stay with you for ever, its a beautiful image of you both full of love and joy:)
This is a beautiful picture of you both ... must admit it made me smile and the love you obviously shared between you shines out ... so it was with a tear I read how you have recently lost her ... love and hugs Lou Ann x
I am so sorry for your loss Lou Ann. She looks like a delightful person and has such a great smile. I feel the same way even now many years after my friend Heather lost her battle against cancer. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.
Oh Lou Ann, the poignancy of this photo is heartbreaking! When we all would wish for long lives, we forget, until times like this, that not everyone gets the wish fulfilled, and there's a price that comes with our own longevity... I'm so sorry you had to say good-bye to this dear friend.
@365karly1 Thank you all for your kind and thoughtful comments, I appreciate each of you, so much.
