“You can skate to that first little heart, I know you can do it.”
I loved watching this skating lesson on the mall’s ice rink yesterday. The lady on the left was learning to skate, she had gotten away from holding on to the hand rail on the edge of the rink and was all the way out on the ice. Her instructor was patient and encouraging, a lovely interaction between the two, and I’m confident the student was skating away by the lesson’s end.
@pcoulson yes, the hearts were for Valentines, there are computerized lights under the ice to project any design they want. @gijsje I grew up roller skating in West Texas, we didn’t have ice rinks. I think that’s why I admired the skating student, she was in her 60’s and learning something new!
I use to love to ice skate - thought scares me now! (especially now :) ) Love what they've done with the computer on the ice - that's so neat. Nice pov for the shot.
Fantastic photo with a wonderful POV! I love the background story. Like you, I grew up roller skating. We now have ice skating rinks in San Antonio but we sure didn't when I was growing up. I love the pink hearts in this photo! :-)
