I went to a local hardware store to look for nut photos. I was surprised that these perfectly shiny hex nut’s surfaces were so flawed when I downloaded the photos. I’m sure there are photography terms for what a camera lens sees that we don’t! People talk about how honest photographs are, that you can’t hide anything, this illustrates that idea perfectly. Thank goodness for faffing is all I have to say! This for N nut, for Aug18words.
Great idea! I was thinking almonds, walnuts etc... I can see what your saying about the surfaces, but they look still new to me and I think they make the picture more interesting too!
Your processing on this turned an ordinary shot of nuts into something really interesting. AND I learned the meaning of a new word "faffing" - do a whole lot of that! Fav
@milaniet@louannwarren faffing is a very English term :- faff about/around. to spend your time doing a lot of things that are not important instead of the thing that you should be doing: I wish you'd stop faffing about and do something useful! every days a school day, lol:)
@pcoulson I learned “faffing” from @annied! I think it’s such a cool verb and covers so many things in my life. LOL. Thank you for the official definition, I love it more than ever now! 😊
