From the large rotodome atop its fuselage, to the 30 foot wide propellers, the Hawkeye is one of the largest planes to fly off of US aircraft carriers. This fabulous aircraft truly is an “Eye in the Sky”, incredible surveillance from the sky and support for tracking attacks. There are over 150 beautifully restored airplanes at the museum, we needed more than one day to see it all!
what a beauty. i've been watching so many videos about airplanes, and the last several days i couldn't have enough of those documentaries about airplane crashes. people think me weird. but i see an airplane or hear one and off i go look at a video.
