“I can’t thank you enough.” by louannwarren

“I can’t thank you enough.”

“I’m just a lowly house finch but I want to thank you for moving the bird feeder where the big birds and squirrels can’t get to it!” I swapped locations of my two feeders, and it’s been great to see the small birds enjoying sunflower seeds without the hassles of the Big Boys. Smile.
The smaller birds will be so thankful. love your background. my husband made some metal cones to hang on top of the feeders to prevent the squirrels from sliding down the wire and reaching the feeder. It works most the time, but those rascals are so smart.

@bruni Thank you! This is the “squirrel proof” feeder, when a squirrel steps on the perches, they are so heavy their weight closes the feeding holes. Before they tried anyway, all day long, and drove the little birds crazy. 😊

Great idea Lou Ann, those big boys are all bully! We have various sized birds on our table but they seem to rub along OK. Harry puts seed on the ground too for the ground eaters.

I have the same feeder and it works so well- but you're right the squirrels keep trying anyway! Can't move mine out of the way but the birds seem to do ok in spite of the crazy squirrels. Nice shot!
