One more photo of the wall, with the American flag at the beginning panel. This three quarter sized replica has all of the 58,000 plus names that are on the monument in Washington DC. It is a stunning, heart rending exhibit. I am so glad they are staging this in various cities so that everyone can get to it.
Of all of the three shots, I like this one the best. What a terrific POV to highlight the many names listed and lost. I just finished viewing Ken Burns' film, "Vietnam." I had not been old enough to understand what was happening at the time - the history adds so much understanding to the memorial. So very glad that people can experience it without needing to travel to DC!
@rosiekerr Thank you Rosie. When I was graduating from high school in 1961, America was escalating our involvement in this war. At the time none of us knew of the decades long impact of this war and the lingering effects of Agent Orange, among other things. 😔
