Patty’s oak tree by louannwarren

Patty’s oak tree

In 1965 six year old Patty planted an acorn in my sister and brother in law’s backyard. Yesterday I had Patty’s siblings, my nephew Mark and two nieces Debbie and Connie put their arms around the tree. A very poignant photo for my family.
Neat - we have a tree that my husband's first wife grew from a twig that was a funny gift at a graduation party over 50 years ago. SO I get it.

@joansmor @dide @ziggy77 @carole_sandford @jacqbb @beryl @happysnaps @sugarmuser @pcoulson @stevepam @bkbinthecity @radiogirl @milaniet @gilbertwood thank you so much for your lovely comments and faves. This is on the PP today! Because of the shade this tree provides my brother in law planted special shade grass and all the flowerbeds have wonderful shade tolerant flowers. The tree is a real joy to our family. 💖
