Mother told me sending Christmas cards was important. You are showing your friends and family that you are thinking of them, offering best wishes for the season and upcoming year. I’m so glad so many of my friends and family reciprocate, it’s a sweet, happy Christmas tradition.
I can only agree with the above, we don't send any and don't receive any. The Post does not function at all in this country, nothing arrives and when it does, it is 6 months later ;-)
A beautiful display , and one that I l love and partake in - so lovely to hear -it only a card from those you may not have heard from since last year. - so much preferred to a ecard at Christmas ! fav
I’m not too keen on writing them although this year I did it a different way & found it much easier. I used to write card & envelope together but this year I wrote all the cards & just wrote name on the top. Afterwards I did the addressing ...more efficient I thought.
We send lots but as a friend said if you don’t people think you are dead! I love to see them all hanging on our beams....last year for that...will have to find a new way to display next time.
I used to send out almost 100 cards between family and friends. Sadly I cannot afford to do that anymore. But thanks to the internet I can still send holiday greetings- albeit not as personal. You have a very nice collection!
