The stained glass windows in this painted church were so beautiful. This church is referred to as the “Queen” of the painted churches, the stained glass windows were stunning here. Just natural light, no interior lighting made each church positively glow.
@jacqbb@beryl@happysnaps@mittens@k9photo@gijsje@linnypinny@bkbinthecity thank you so much for your wonderful comments and faves. This popped on the TP and PP this evening, thank you! I am intrigued with the painted churches and how the parishioners possibly could have had enough money to build them. They had just arrived in this country and were just starting their trades and businesses. I think the church meant more to them than anything else and they took every spare coin they had and donated it to the building funds. This is one of the simpler windows at High Hill, but still so lovely.
@danette@milaniet@ludwigsdiana@pusspup@dide@busylady@pcoulson@ziggy77 thank you all for your wonderful comments and faves. I appreciate each one. The wood surfaces in the painted churches were so clean and shiny, I wanted to wait for the caregivers to see what wood polish they use!
