Black Hellebore?

At least that’s what my “Garden Answers” app said. The center of the flower doesn’t look like the example, so please name this flower, if you know what it really is.

It is a hellebore and they come in lots of shades from whites, cream, pink, burgundy, though never a real black. Also known as the Lenten Rose.

Definitely a hellebore but as to the black part not certain about that. I will have to check the ones I have to see if they have that dark center! Great shot!

@gardenfolk I have learned that if the photo isn’t spot on, I go to previous answers. If they are not the same I don’t use that answer. But a lot of the time they have given me a correct answer.
