Swamp (Crinum) Lilies

I loved these flowers at the wildflower center in Austin. I laughed at their name because they were growing beautifully in very arid, dry conditions. No swamps within hundreds of miles.

They are unusual for a lily- I wouldn't know they were one unless you had said. They're really fun looking though- like a trio of girls who are all having a bad hair day.
