Dallas’ Pegasus by louannwarren

Dallas’ Pegasus

When I moved to Dallas in July 1969, the tallest building in the Dallas skyline was the 45 story Magnolia Oil building with Pegasus, the winged horse, rotating on its roof. It was evening and when I saw the horse I felt like I was home, it has always been my Dallas symbol. The photo on the left is from a famous Dallas photographer, Joseph Haubert, the photos on the right are of the two Pegasus Christmas ornaments I display every year.

@ludwigsdiana the Bank of America tower is the tallest now. 72 floors, 921 feet. The Magnolia building is dwarfed now. When I moved here 51 years ago, Dallas was just starting its growth spurt, helped along by Dallas Fort Worth Airport, which opened in 1973.

Love the two on your tree - that's the fun part of Christmas ornaments - the connections.
