I took this photo this morning before we left Lubbock, I loved the early morning sun on the tree. My niece Patty planted the acorn this tree grew from when she was in the first grade, in 1965. It is 56 years old now, Sue and I measured around the trunk this morning. It’s circumference is 120”! The last time we were in Lubbock, two years ago, we were there to attend Patty’s funeral. The tree means so much to all of us.
Magnificent tree well done Patty it remains a wonderful reminder of her life, we have planted trees in every property we have owned and have always planted at least one English Oak, and one Copper beech, lovely image Lou Ann:)
