The Peace Circle by louannwarren

The Peace Circle

In August 1843 the President of the Republic of Texas Sam Houston met with 10 American Indian chiefs/captains in Grapevine to sign a peace treaty. The city of Grapevine unveiled this circle of bronze statues representing the event recently. They are remarkable sculptures, each worthy of it’s own photograph and story. It was overcast the day I was there, I will go back on a pretty day and take more photos.
What a great collage of these amazing sculptures, I take it they are quite big.

The overcast day worked in your favor because there are no shadows or over-exposed shots due to the sun. We can see all the beautiful details this way. The artwork and detail is excellent! Great collage.

What a great collage. Each one standing proud.

The overcast day works well, you probably wouldn't have got so much detail if it was a sunny day.
