So, here we are by louannwarren

So, here we are

We have gotten vaccinated, boostered, worn our masks, washed our hands a million times, done everything we could and the virus is still here. Not the first, big bad one, or the second one, this third version is the mildest one of all. The politicians act like it is the end of the world, but everyone we know who has had it compares it to a really bad cold. I’m so hopeful that this last one is the last one, indeed.
I hate that you’ve been able to document so many of these photos this way! I feel certain that it is definitely on the way out.

@grammyn I hope and pray you are right.

An interesting collage, to say the least...I'm not currently optimistic based on living in a state with some of the highest covid cases in the US.

Excellent collage.

Nice documentation. They are starting to talk about another booster. Let’s hope the next variant is milder.

Oh my I can feel your frustration, I feel the same way!
So tired of it all, I want my life back and missing out on so many events.
Great collage to show your journey!

Your collage documents the situation well. Here's hoping the world can get back to normal soon.

Yes, it's quite frustrating. I just wish we knew the long-term consequences from any of these, even mile cases.

i hear you. i was just lamenting to my sister, hearing about a fourth shot or second booster, what are they trying to do to us? and why can't i go to eat at a restaurant but i can go to a shoe store? how often does one go buy shoes?

Your collage is awesome, but it is sad... I think we just have to live with the virus. And as you said the last version doesn't seem that bad (maybe due to vaccination), but the restrictions are worse. The Netherlands entered a lockdown in December and fortunately are opening up gyms and hairdressers again. Here in Oman the government made the weird decision to have all kids up to 4th grade online since this week... I'm keeping everything crossed that these kids are allowed back in school asap and that the older ones stay in school.

A wonderful collage of the times we are living in. Unfortunately I do not see the end of it in the near future. We can just hope and pray.

Powerful collage! We can just hope and pray there will be an end sometime soon. We saw family briefly on Saturday after not seeing anyone over Christmas and New Year due to covid in the family!

It is a battle against a combatant we can't see, the latest version is not as deadly so we can only hope we are winning.

A collage of the times

Great collage of the times! Let's hope we are getting there.

I agree it barely makes you ill although there are always exceptions. Our isolation time after a positive test is now five days instead of ten. The affect on staff has been bad so they are truing to get staff back to work asap. You have to have two negative flow test though.
I think we are learning to live with it although the scientists are still all gloom & doom.

Sadly the world is affected by this virus - and I don't think it is going to go away very quickly. My daughter caught the omricon variant last week and has been quite ill. Luckily she has had the 3 vaccinations as otherwise it could have been a very different outcome.

Your collage depicts so well the last two years and the fatigue we all feel.
