I walked out to my front porch to take a photo of the icy sidewalks. Instead I took photos of the icicles on our porch flag. Several hundred thousand homes are without power due to power lines being knocked down by ice covered trees.
Your photo is great! I was wondering how you were doing. I've been watching Texas weather pretty closely because I was worried about my granddaughter in Austin. She lost power for a few hours but was OK. UT cancelled classes so she did not have to get out.
@grammyn@taffy@julzmaioro@Dawn@summerfield@kwind@danette@bkbinthecity@onewing@eudora@ludwigsdiana@joansmor@happysnaps All the ice will be gone by noon today, Friday the 3rd. Thankfully the state power grid did not falter but south a few hundred miles from us the ice broke tree limbs that were over power lines and down came the lines. It’s the worst ice storm the state capitol, Austin, has had in recent memory. I have so many friends there and they have all been without power for a day or two. We’ve had power the whole time.
Hope you didn't lose power Lou Ann.
