The year 2014 was not my favorite year!
I found out December 30, 2013 that I had cancer so January began with biopsies and deciding to have the 8 hour double mastectomy with micro reconstruction surgery. February 14 was the surgery and then recovery through March. April-July chemo sessions every 2 weeks then 28 radiation treatments that finally finished September 30.
Happy memories? My 60th birthday when my family came to celebrate with me and also starting a cancer survivor work out program at the YMCA where I learned how to take care of my new body while making new friends!
Looking back, I learned that whatever happens in life- God has me safely in the palm of His hands and I have a very loving and supportive husband, family and friends!
A year filled with procedures and treatments like you had would definitely not be a favorite in the memory file, but that you triumphant over the cancer and have an ornament to prove it, that's extra special. Praise be to our God for His tender care of you through it all.
Very thoughtfully written commentary about the year - Glad you were able to find a positive way to view the year. This is a beautiful ornament to celebrate the victory that year.
Beautiful colors and lighting. I'm sorry you had such a tough year, Lois, and hope the new year will be much better you. It's so good to have a loving and supportive family.
A beautiful bright decoration Good strong colours that show the strength you have had over the last few years. You are so lucky to have so much positive support. I hope 2017 is a wonderful year for you.
