We went to Mardi Gras World this morning. Kind of touristy but really cool. They take you on a tour through one of their warehouses and show you the floats they store there as well as the floats they are working on. The history was interesting and they allow you to photograph anything you want even the floats for next year. They had not made much progress on next years' floats but the drawings were posted in the areas where they were working. After the tour is over they tell let you stay as long as you want and take photographs. Because you are in a warehouse the backgrounds are pretty bad unless you do closeups.
After finishing the tour we walked around the French Quarter and listened to some jazz before heading over to the Garden District to look at houses.
