Today I got my reminder of how hard it is to photograph hummers. I thought it would be neat to photograph the hummer against the clematis. Wrong! Between his speed and the camera not being able to figure out where to focus it was pretty much a lost cause. 3 hours of shooting and not a decent shot. But I did learn a lot. I prefer hummers shot against a plainer background so all of the focus is on him. Good thing they will be around for another 4 months so I will have lots of time to practice.
