@tesssa@nancyperry Thanks Tessa and Nancy. It did take a while to get the camera in the right position and then wait for the leaves to stop blowing (and hoping that it would not start raining any harder).
@blestmom4 Thanks Aly. The background on this photo is another example of a type of bokeh. I was using a macro lens which has the capacity for a very shallow dof (depth of field) to generate nice soft backgrounds.
It's gorgeous! I took some leaf pictures today. (Haven't posted them yet.) I was using my macro setting, but had my zoom lens on (I know, dumb, right?) I'll post one tomorrow. If you get a chance, let me know what you think. =)
@blestmom4 Nothing wrong with a zoom lens for close ups. The difference is the depth of field which is how much of the photo is in focus. It is much narrower using a macro lens. I will look at your photos when you post them.
